About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Chef to lead the kitchen of a well-established, upscale Italian restaurant in Bonita Springs. This is a high-energy, guest-focused environment known for its strong local following and consistent volume.

This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality, consistent food while leading and developing a team.


Position Overview

The Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in food quality, execution, and team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.

The right candidate will bring a balance of leadership, structure, and controlled creativity, with a focus on consistency and accountability.


Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership

  • Lead daily kitchen operations in a high-volume environment
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
  • Maintain and evolve menu offerings, including specials and seasonal items

Team Management

  • Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff
  • Foster a professional, accountable, and team-oriented culture
  • Lead by example with a strong, hands-on presence during service

Operations & Financial Performance

  • Manage food cost, labor, and inventory to meet targets
  • Oversee ordering, vendor relationships, and product quality
  • Implement and maintain systems for efficiency and consistency

Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are upheld
  • Maintain recipe consistency, portion control, and kitchen organization

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of Executive Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience
  • Experience in upscale casual or high-volume dining environments (Italian cuisine preferred)
  • Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, and kitchen systems
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
