We're looking for a hands-on operational leader to help drive the next phase of growth for a well-established commercial construction company. We're looking for someone who can lead crews, improve operations, build accountability, and partner with ownership to help scale the business. If you've successfully managed field operations, crews, equipment, scheduling, and construction teams, we'd love to speak with you. This role is in St. Louis, Missouri, and all candidates must be willing to relocate to the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.

Operations and Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across crews
  • Manage manpower planning, scheduling, equipment, and logistics
  • Coordinate with estimators, vendors, suppliers, clients, and subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Drive accountability and performance across field leadership and crews
  • Support hiring, coaching, and development of team members
  • Improve communication between field operations and office leadership
  • Manage operational challenges, scheduling changes, and change orders
  • Implement systems, processes, and operational improvements
  • Partner with ownership on strategic growth initiatives and business planning

Operations and Project Manager Requirements

  • Minimum of 6+ years in project management or operations management roles in asphalt and concrete
  • Proven experience managing multiple crews, supervisors, foremen, and field personnel
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, equipment management, and project coordination
  • Ability to build trust and accountability with long-tenured employees and field teams
  • Comfortable balancing office leadership responsibilities with field presence
  • Experience improving operational processes and driving efficiency
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Bilingual (English – Spanish)
