The Birmingham office is actively seeking a junior- to mid-level attorney who can immediately contribute to a diverse litigation practice handling tort, commercial contract, financial services, and construction-related matters.
Litigation Associate Attorney Benefits & Compensation

- 1,850 billable hour requirement with bonus eligibility beginning at 1,950 hours, including a $10,000 bonus opportunity and additional production-based incentives

Litigation Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Alabama Bar license in good standing
- 2–4 years of litigation experience
- Experience handling tort litigation and/or commercial contract disputes preferred
- Financial services litigation experience is a plus
- Construction litigation experience is a plus
- Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities while working collaboratively within a team
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Strong academic credentials
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Desire to develop litigation skills and build a long-term career with the firm
- Ability to work full-time in the Birmingham office
Litigation Associate Attorney Background & Skills
- Litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Defense-side litigation experience preferred
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Exposure to depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Collaborative approach and willingness to learn from experienced attorneys
- Self-starter with strong initiative and professional maturity
Litigation Associate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
- Manage document review and discovery processes
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys across multiple practice groups
- Provide practical legal guidance and strategic support to clients
- Support case management from inception through resolution
