Experienced Construction Litigation Attorney Benefits & Compensation

• Competitive base salary starting around $215,000+, with flexibility based on experience

Experienced Construction Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license in good standing
• 7+ years of litigation experience
• Substantive construction litigation experience
• Complex litigation experience required
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision
• Experience handling hearings, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and courtroom presence
• Strong academic credentials preferred
• Ability to work full-time in the Tampa office

Experienced Construction Litigation Attorney Background & Skills

• Experience representing owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, or construction-related businesses
• Experience handling construction defect claims, contract disputes, delay claims, payment disputes, and related construction litigation matters
• Experience working with construction experts and technical consultants
• Familiarity with construction contracts and risk allocation issues
• Experience working collaboratively within a litigation team while also managing matters independently
• Demonstrated business development aptitude and relationship-building skills
• Strong client-service orientation and business-minded approach to legal practice

Experienced Construction Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage complex construction litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other court proceedings
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm's construction practice
• Analyze construction contracts, project documentation, and technical records
• Work closely with experts and consultants in support of litigation strategy
• Provide practical legal guidance and strategic counsel to construction industry clients
• Participate in client development and business generation efforts
