The Sarasota office is actively seeking an attorney who can contribute immediately to a growing litigation team handling construction, real property, and commercial litigation matters throughout Florida.

Litigation Associate Attorney Benefits & Compensation

Litigation Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • 3–5 years of litigation experience
  • Experience in construction litigation, real property litigation, or related civil litigation matters preferred
  • Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities while working collaboratively within a team
  • Experience handling all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work full-time in the Sarasota office

Litigation Associate Attorney Preferred Background & Skills

  • Construction litigation experience
  • Real property litigation experience
  • Defense-side litigation experience preferred
  • Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Collaborative approach and desire to build a long-term career with the firm

Litigation Associate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support and manage litigation matters throughout Florida
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Assist with case management from inception through resolution
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
  • Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm's litigation practice
  • Provide practical legal guidance and strategic support to clients
