Assistant Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Assistant Kitchen Manager to join a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment with a strong team culture and real growth potential. This is a great opportunity for a people-first leader who enjoys developing teams, supporting both BOH and FOH execution, and growing toward a future General Manager role.

Assistant Kitchen Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2–4+ years of restaurant management or kitchen leadership experience
  • Full-service restaurant experience required
  • Current or recent experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, Culinary Manager, BOH Manager, Senior Manager, Assistant General Manager, AGM, or strong FOH Manager with BOH support experience
  • Scratch-kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong operational ability with exposure to both FOH and BOH support
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, bar-heavy, patio-heavy, and event-driven restaurant environment
  • Experience supporting daily kitchen execution, prep readiness, line flow, food quality, ticket timing, and shift organization
  • Ability to train, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
  • Hands-on leadership style; must be highly visible in the operation and not office-based
  • Currently employed strongly preferred
  • Ambition to grow into a future General Manager role

Assistant Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience in $5M–$8M AUV restaurant environments preferred
  • Scratch-kitchen or fresh-prep restaurant experience
  • Exposure to high-volume patios, event nights, craft beer programs, or tap takeovers, Live music venues
  • Strong understanding of inventory, ordering, waste control, food cost, labor discipline, and restaurant systems
  • Positive, approachable, ambitious problem-solver mindset
  • Strong culture builder and team motivator
  • Stable work history with demonstrated progression
  • Comfortable partnering closely with both FOH and BOH leadership
