Project Accountant

Join a stable, growing organization that manages complex, multi-phase projects from planning through completion. This role is well suited for an accounting professional with experience in project-based environments such as manufacturing, engineering, EPC, or construction who enjoys working closely with operations and project teams.

Compensation & Benefits

$75,000–$85,000 base salary, depending on experience

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

4–6 years of accounting experience in a project-based or cost-accounting environment
Background in manufacturing, engineering, EPC, construction, or similar industries preferred
Experience with job costing, project cost tracking, or cost forecasting
Exposure to WIP, percentage-of-completion, or project revenue recognition
Familiarity with progress billing, milestones, or customer invoicing tied to project deliverables
Experience using ERP or project accounting systems (Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and financial performance
Prepare cost forecasts and cost-to-complete analysis for active projects
Support project billing, including progress-based or milestone billing
Ensure accurate revenue recognition based on project status and financial data
Partner with project managers and operational teams to review project performance
Maintain accurate project financial records within ERP or project systems
Assist with month-end close related to project accounting and cost reporting
Provide financial insights to support decision-making on active projects
Follow internal controls and accounting best practices
