Construction Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial drywall project management experience
  • Strong background in metal framing, drywall, and acoustical systems
  • Experience with project management / estimating software (Onscreen Takeoff, Quick Bid, BuzzBID preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple project stakeholders
  • Estimating experience and ability to review takeoffs is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA training
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Construction Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple commercial drywall projects from kick-off through closeout
  • Review estimates, project scopes, and contracts prior to start
  • Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and material takeoffs
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and budget tracking
  • Lead project meetings and provide executive reporting to ownership
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and deadlines
  • Collaborate with general contractors, architects, and inspectors to resolve site challenges
