Executive Chef – Aspen, CO
A respected hospitality group is opening an exciting Italian-American restaurant concept in Aspen, offering a unique opportunity to shape the culinary vision from day one. As Executive Chef, you’ll have the chance to build a dynamic team, drive menu innovation, and leave your mark on a high-profile new opening.
Executive Chef Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually (DOE)

Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader in a high-volume kitchen
- Expertise in Italian-American cuisine, especially pizza and pasta
- Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and managing back-of-house staff
- Proven ability to manage food costs, labor controls, and vendor relationships
- Understanding of Department of Health (DOH) regulations and food safety standards
Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader comfortable overseeing busy service while managing operations
- Demonstrated ability to create and refine menus featuring seasonal ingredients
- Background launching new restaurant concepts or leading new openings is a plus
Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Direct all kitchen operations and ensure consistent execution of menu standards
- Develop, test, and implement innovative Italian-American dishes
- Build and lead a high-performing culinary team through hiring, training, and daily supervision
- Oversee ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and cost controls
- Establish efficient kitchen systems, prep standards, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain an organized, audit-ready kitchen
