Industrial Electrical Superintendent – Charlotte/Raleigh, NC

A reputable self perform general contractor in the Carolinas is seeking an Industrial Electrical Superintendent who will be overseeing all field electrical operations for industrial construction projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule management. This position is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and project specifications. Key duties include managing project planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial power and control systems.

Preferred Experience: Candidates with prior experience on wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) or similar infrastructure projects are highly valued due to the complex control systems, motor installations, and instrumentation typical of these environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise electrical field crews and subcontractors.
Coordinate material procurement, scheduling, and daily field activities.
Ensure adherence to safety programs, NEC standards, and QA/QC protocols.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain efficient project execution.
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site electrical and coordination issues.
Support testing, start-up, and commissioning processes.

Qualifications:

8+ years of industrial electrical field experience, including at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
Demonstrated success on large-scale industrial or municipal infrastructure projects; WWTP experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Understanding of NEC, industrial power distribution, and control systems.
