Field Service Diesel Mechanic

Compensation: $34–$40/hour depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, local routes only (no overnight travel)

Overview

Hiring an experienced Field Service Diesel Mechanic to perform mobile diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks, commercial fleet vehicles, and equipment throughout the Auburn and Greater Seattle area. This is a local mobile role offering steady work, career stability, and home time every night.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and powertrains

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, emissions, and aftertreatment systems

• Conduct DOT inspections and complete accurate digital service documentation

• Manage daily field service routes and maintain a clean, stocked service truck

• Communicate repair needs and status updates with dispatch and customers

• Deliver safe, professional, customer-focused field service

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician

• Experience with engines and equipment such as Cummins, CAT, Detroit Diesel, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, Mack, or Volvo preferred

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

• ASE certifications preferred but not required

• Ability to work independently with strong communication and time-management skills
