Supervisor / UT / MPI Requirements & Qualifications

  • Level II certified UT inspector
  • Qualified to perform dry MPI inspections
  • Experience in a manufacturing, saw, machine shop, material handling, inspection, or similar production environment
  • Ability to lead teams, assign and prioritize work, and ensure daily production requirements are met
  • Strong understanding of work orders, specifications, measurements, and production documentation
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and workplace organization
  • Effective communicator with diverse teams across production, quality, and support departments

Supervisor / UT / MPI Preferred Background & Skills

  • Previous supervisory, lead, or coordinator experience, especially in production settings
  • Familiarity with saw operations, milling equipment, mold die steel, heavy material handling, and production records
  • Experience managing material movement, setting production priorities, and facilitating cross-department workflows

Supervisor / UT / MPI Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and direct employees in saw and milling operations
  • Supervise cutting and milling of mold die steel for both stock and customer orders
  • Perform ultrasonic (UT) and dry magnetic particle (MPI) inspections per company and customer requirements
  • Set work priorities, assign daily tasks, and adjust to meet production schedules
  • Verify material identification, measurements, inspection results, and documentation
  • Ensure completion and smooth transition of work to subsequent departments
  • Reinforce safety and quality standards, coach employees, and conduct safety meetings
  • Communicate production, equipment, and quality concerns to relevant teams
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold housekeeping standards in all areas
