Director of Finance
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our Fort Worth area residential homebuilding division. The Director of Finance will serve as a strategic partner to construction, purchasing, and executive leadership. Responsibilities include construction accounting, job costing, forecasting, cash-flow management, internal controls, and project profitability. This opportunity is specifically suited for a finance leader with significant residential homebuilding, construction, or real estate development experience.

Director of Finance Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Significant experience in residential homebuilding, construction or real estate development
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, work-in-progress accounting, GAAP, and project profitability
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash-flow management
- Experience overseeing monthly close, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Proven success managing and developing accounting or finance professionals
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, construction accounting, purchasing, and financial-reporting systems
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience monitoring construction budgets, commitments, change orders, draws, vendor expenses, and projected costs to complete
- Ability to identify potential cost overruns, margin erosion, liquidity concerns, and financial risks early
- Strong understanding of purchasing, accounts payable, purchase-order controls, vendor commitments, and payment approvals
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations
- Strategic and operational mindset with the ability to connect financial performance to construction execution
- Positive and collaborative leadership style
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance leaders
- Stable record of career progression demonstrating initiative, accountability, and professional growth
- Experience supporting external audits and maintaining strong internal controls
