Private Event Sous Chef

A luxury catering company is seeking an experienced Private Event Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in creating exceptional private dining experiences. This role combines fine dining culinary skills with guest interaction, creativity, and hospitality at intimate private events and corporate functions. Private Event Sous Chef Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $70,000-$80,000 based on experience
• Current chefs typically earn $1,500–$2,500/month in tips
• Unlimited PTO (used responsibly)
• Company vehicle provided for events
• Health insurance paid at 75% by employer, dental, and vision insurance

Private Event Sous Chef Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of fine dining catering or private chef experience (5+ years preferred for restaurant-only backgrounds)
• Experience preparing and executing upscale, multi-course meals
• Strong organization, communication, and guest service skills
• Creative with an eye for food presentation
• Team player willing to assist with prep, cleanup, and dishwashing
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays]
• Must have a valid driver's license

Private Event Sous Chef Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute upscale multi-course meals for private events alongside the executive chef.
• Assist with menu preparation, food prep, and event execution.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and organize prep for upcoming events.
• Maintain exceptional food quality and artistic presentation.
• Interact professionally with guests during service.
• Assist with packing, loading, and transport, dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, and maintaining a clean
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and service staff.
