Human Resources Coordinator Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of human resources experience, ideally within QSR, hospitality, or the restaurant industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting

Human Resources Coordinator Preferred Background & Skills

  • Multi-unit restaurant or franchise experience
  • Experience recruiting both hourly and management-level positions
  • Knowledge of labor scheduling and workforce planning
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Human Resources Coordinator Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract diverse, qualified talent
  • Lead the sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process for all restaurant roles
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and address employee relations issues promptly
  • Coordinate training programs and support performance improvement processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain accurate employee records
  • Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR reporting
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to staffing, turnover, labor costs, and retention metrics
