Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Experience developing and managing project budgets and schedules

• Ability to oversee multiple construction crews ranging from 5 to 50+ team members

• Experience coordinating subcontractors and ensuring project milestones are achieved

• Strong understanding of construction methods and field operations

• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• General understanding of fabrication processes

• Ability and willingness to travel to jobsites for the duration of assigned projects

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements

 

Must Haves:

• Successfully manage multiple construction projects simultaneously

• Maintain clear communication with customers, subcontractors, field teams, and senior leadership

• Build and maintain project schedules while ensuring deadlines are met

• Track labor, budgets, and overall project performance

• Ensure subcontractors meet project expectations, required certifications, and safety standards

• Quickly identify issues and implement practical solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Construction Manager to develop project schedules and execution plans

• Provide regular project updates and weekly progress reports to senior leadership

• Coordinate subcontractors and provide the information needed to keep projects moving efficiently

• Monitor labor hours and maintain accurate project documentation

• Identify opportunities to improve project performance and operational efficiency

• Ensure every project meets customer expectations while maintaining quality, safety, and budget objectives

• Verify compliance with OSHA standards and customer-specific safety requirements throughout each project

Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills:

• PMP Certification

• Experience with Microsoft Project

• Experience using construction project management software

• Autodesk Inventor experience

• AutoCAD experience

• Background managing industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy commercial construction projects

• Experience leading multi-crew, multi-phase construction projects from planning through completion
