Assistant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of management experience in quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or a related customer-service environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable analyzing operational data to improve performance
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Supervisory experience at a major quick-service restaurant
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems, such as workforce scheduling, point of sale, or learning platforms
- ServSafe Certification
- Background in high-volume team management and staff development
Assistant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support, coach, and develop a high-performing restaurant team
- Lead daily operations to ensure food safety, quality, cleanliness, and service standards
- Assist with inventory, labor management, and cost control processes
- Foster a welcoming, guest-first culture by addressing guest needs and resolving issues professionally
- Enforce health, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the restaurant
- Execute local marketing initiatives and support community engagement efforts
