Area Operations Manager- Janitorial or Restaurant Background – Southern Tier NY
A leading regional facilities services provider is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee operations across the Ithaca, Elmira, and Binghamton areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an operations leader with a background in restaurant, retail, or multi-site janitorial management to join a growing team, drive results, and make a direct impact on quality and customer satisfaction.
Area Operations Manager Benefits & Compensation
- $70,000 – $75,000 base salary plus up to $4,000 annual bonus
- Car allowance

- Monday–Friday schedule (primarily mid shifts 12-8pm)

Area Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant, retail, convenience store, or janitorial management
- At least 2 years as a multi-unit manager
- Valid driver’s license
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong leadership skills
Area Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience overseeing teams of 100+ employees or multiple facilities/locations
- Background with both hands-on and strategic leadership in operations
Area Operations Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee 2 Supervisors
- Hire, train, and develop site cleaners and team leaders for each location
- Ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction through regular inspections and communication
- Schedule, supervise, and support a team of 100 employees
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address needs and drive continuous improvement
