General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead, hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop facility team members
  • Drive revenue through league participation, memberships, field rentals, local partnerships, and repeat customer engagement
  • Manage daily sports facility operations, including scheduling, vendors, maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and compliance
  • Build strong relationships with players, parents, teams, referees, schools, clubs, and community partners
  • Set clear expectations for service, operations, accountability, and team performance
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, with strong follow-through
  • Support the front desk, staff, referees, and guests during peak business periods
  • Create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where players feel valued and excited to return

General Manager Requirements:

  • Proven sales success and experience in a lead, supervisor, assistant manager, operations manager, or general manager role
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, coach, and hold a team accountable
  • Experience in customer service, sales, operations, hospitality, recreation, fitness, sports, entertainment, or facility management
  • Ability to manage schedules, staffing, customer issues, facility needs, and business priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working nights, weekends, and peak business hours based on facility demand
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales, customer service, operations, or leadership
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Spanish/English bilingual ability is a plus
  • Team sports, recreation, fitness, or sports facility experience is a plus
  • This role requires availability during peak facility hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Shifts vary based on business needs, league schedules, staffing, and facility demand.
