Human Resources Generalist

Location: New York, NY (On-site)

Salary: $70,000-$80,000

About the Opportunity

A growing SaaS organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support its expanding workforce and help build a strong employee experience. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, benefits, and compliance while helping to create programs that attract, develop, and retain top talent.

What You'll Do

  • Support all day-to-day Human Resources operations across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with business objectives and employment regulations.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding.
  • Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a positive employee experience and successful integration.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs and support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and confidential personnel files.
  • Assist with employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements to HR processes, programs, and employee experience.
  • Assist with additional HR projects and initiatives as the organization continues to grow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • At least 5 years supporting HR functions within a SaaS, technology, or high-growth organization.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment and employee onboarding.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and maintaining HRIS and personnel records.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for creating a positive employee experience.
