Maintenance Mechanic-First and Second Shifts

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements & Qualifications

High School Diploma required
Technical School Certification or 2–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination
Experience in automation or fabrication required
Ability to interpret basic mechanical and electrical schematics
Valid driver’s license

Maintenance Mechanic Preferred Background & Skills

Experience with welding and piping assembly
Manufacturing industry experience
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects
Team-oriented with effective communication and relationship-building skills

Maintenance Mechanic Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and complete repair work orders to keep facility equipment running smoothly
Troubleshoot and repair process equipment such as pumps, agitators, valves, air compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and packaging equipment
Diagnose issues in motor control systems and replace defective parts including fuses, starters, relays, and power supplies
Service plant instrumentation including flow meters, level meters, and transmitters
Repair mobile equipment like forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet-lifting machines
Maintain compliance of facility systems, including fire, steam boilers, and pollution control equipment
Participate in site improvement programs and safety initiatives

This role requires availability for first and second shifts and occasional off-shift hours to meet operational needs.
