Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Progressive experience in vacation rental or hotel operations management
- Proven leadership skills with hands-on team supervision
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to manage high standards and handle a portfolio of 40+ properties
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic maintenance abilities
- Cool under pressure and able to manage challenging situations directly
Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience overseeing both housekeeping and maintenance teams in hospitality
- Comfort, supporting, and interacting with VIP guests and owners
- Experience writing schedules and leading diverse teams
- Firm communication style with the ability to enforce policies
Operations Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end operations ensuring impeccable property readiness and guest satisfaction across all departments
- Lead, train, and support a cross-functional operations team and manage third-party vendors
- Maintain showcase-ready standards through meticulous inspections and proactive maintenance
- Coordinate onboarding for new properties, including logistics, punch lists, and scheduling
- Deliver exceptional experiences through concierge services and prompt issue resolution
- Forecast and manage scheduling, oversee seasonal maintenance, and respond efficiently to guest needs and on-call emergencies
- Foster owner and guest relationships, collect feedback, and continuously improve operations
