Seasonal Banquet Manager

Coastal Maine Resort | Housing Provided

$35/Hour | Seasonal May–October

We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Banquet Manager to join a high-volume coastal resort and lead banquet operations during our busy season. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys event execution, team leadership, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee banquet operations for weddings, corporate events, social functions, and resort programming.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a banquet team of 25–40 team members.
  • Create schedules and staffing plans to ensure successful event execution.
  • Coordinate with culinary and event teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Manage event setup, service, and breakdown for plated, buffet, and reception-style functions.
  • Maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle changing priorities and last-minute adjustments with professionalism and urgency.
  • Ensure all events are executed according to client expectations and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous Banquet Manager experience in a resort, hotel, conference center, country club, or high-volume event venue.
  • Strong background overseeing weddings and large-scale banquet functions.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
  • Experience with scheduling, staffing, and labor management preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35 per hour
  • 40–50 hours per week during the season
  • On-site housing provided
