A highly successful and rapidly growing California plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a Senior Arbitration Associate Attorney to join its expanding Arbitration Department. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a substantial caseload focused on wage and hour disputes, mass arbitrations, and related employment law matters while working closely with department leadership.
The ideal candidate is an experienced employment litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys handling complex arbitration matters, and is looking to play a meaningful role in the continued growth and development of a high-performing legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of employment law arbitrations, with a primary focus on wage and hour claims
- Draft and review arbitration demands, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and discovery responses
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation and arbitration strategies for individual and mass arbitration matters
- Prepare for and represent clients at arbitration hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and related proceedings
- Collaborate with department leadership to improve workflows, templates, and operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with arbitration provider rules and procedures, including AAA and JAMS protocols
- Monitor case progress and maintain accurate reporting on case status and key milestones
- Work closely with legal support staff and attorneys to achieve favorable client outcomes
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 4+ years of employment law litigation experience
- Significant experience handling wage and hour claims, PAGA matters, and employment-related arbitrations
- Experience managing high-volume or mass arbitration caseloads strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of AAA, JAMS, and other arbitration forum procedures
- Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational and case management abilities
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation
Total compensation range: $150,000 – $200,000 annually, including base salary and performance-based incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
