Marketing and Design Associate Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in design-related marketing roles
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Canva, and related tools
  • Skilled in WordPress for designing and creating webpages
  • Experience using Constant Contact (or similar) to produce sophisticated emails
  • Demonstrated ability to create graphic content for social media campaigns
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and visual content best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with brand development and storytelling

Marketing and Design Associate Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS for web graphics
  • Video editing skills for short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of design projects

Marketing and Design Associate Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design and enhance pages within organizational websites and microsites
  • Create and manage visually compelling social media graphics and email campaigns
  • Produce digital and print materials for projects and events
  • Maintain and organize photo, video, and visual asset banks
  • Collaborate with marketing team and stakeholders to develop concepts and meet project deadlines
  • Support planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including scheduling and posting
  • Monitor design trends to recommend innovative visual communication approaches
  • Ensure all designs meet accessibility and brand standards
