Our client is seeking a hands-on Assistant Director of Facilities to help lead the maintenance and engineering operations of a premier luxury hotel. Assistant Director of Facilities Requirements & Qualifications

  • Class III NIULPE License required (City of Pittsburgh requirement)
  • CFC Refrigeration License required
  • Strong HVACR experience required
  • Strong leadership and management experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of refrigeration repair experience, including refrigerant recovery
  • Experience leading engineering, maintenance, or facilities teams
  • Experience working with chillers, air handlers, fan coils, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and building systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members

Assistant Director of Facilities Preferred Background & Skills

  • Luxury hotel, resort, or full-service hotel experience
  • Assistant Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, Facilities Manager, or Facilities Supervisor background
  • Experience managing preventative maintenance programs
  • Vendor and contractor coordination experience
  • Building automation systems experience preferred
  • Knowledge of fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Experience working in union environments preferred
  • Strong guest-service mindset
  • Stable career progression and strong tenure preferred
