Director of Culinary

Director of Culinary Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading culinary operations in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments.
  • Ability to perform all back-of-house restaurant functions, including lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support.
  • Experience managing both full-service and quick-service concepts preferred.

Director of Culinary Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience supporting operations within airport or similarly complex, logistics-constrained environments.
  • Knowledge of food cost control, inventory management, and waste reduction best practices.
  • Track record of mentoring culinary managers and developing high-performing kitchen teams.

Director of Culinary Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Drive culinary consistency and food quality at airport-based restaurant locations.
  • Provide field support, including line checks, hands-on shift assistance, coaching, and retraining.
  • Serve as liaison between field teams, home office staff, and supply chain partners.
  • Lead new menu rollouts, brand launches, and support product transitions.
  • Compile and maintain food safety, quality, and compliance records.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and management of culinary leaders.
  • Support new restaurant openings, remodels, and operational rollouts.
  • Step into back-of-house positions as operational needs require.
