Traveling Electrical Project Manager

Full-Time | Travel Required (Southeast U.S. / Nationwide)

$120k-$150k + $900/week per diem

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional, and mission-critical electrical construction projects across multiple regions. This role is ideal for a driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple projects while traveling to job sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers and project teams across various job sites.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Handle change orders from initiation through final execution and approval.
  • Monitor project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and leading project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including distribution, lighting, and materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic estimating experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Accubid and Timberline (or similar estimating/job costing software) is a plus.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments.
