Quality Technician Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Experience in a quality control role, ideally within manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling testing equipment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional team
Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings and inspecting parts for compliance
Familiarity with industry certifications such as ASNT or ASQ
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and job-related software

Quality Technician Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Independently inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and machining teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively
Support maintenance and calibration of measurement and non-destructive testing equipment
Document and report non-conformities, working closely with cross-functional colleagues to address root causes
Assist in developing and implementing new quality control procedures and participate in ongoing training to grow technical skills
Promote quality principles and operational excellence throughout the production process
