Our client is seeking a highly operational Human Resources Generalist to support a growing multi-state organization with a large frontline workforce across the United States. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys hands-on operational HR work, and has strong experience supporting payroll, compliance, benefits administration, leave management, recruiting, and HR operations.

This is not a purely strategic HR role. The ideal candidate will be a true HR operator who enjoys being heavily involved in the day-to-day execution of HR functions while helping improve processes and support organizational growth. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and best suited for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong Paychex Flex experience is considered a non-negotiable requirement due to the complexity of the payroll environment and the immediate need for this individual to step into a key operational role with minimal ramp-up time.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

Human Resources Generalist Must Haves

  • Full-cycle payroll ownership experience
  • Advanced Paychex Flex knowledge and troubleshooting capability
  • Experience supporting frontline or field-based employee populations
  • Ability to step into a highly operational environment with minimal training
  • Multi-state HR administration and compliance experience
  • Experience balancing payroll, employee support, recruiting, benefits, and HR operations simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
  • Strong process improvement and documentation mindset
  • Ability to support employees and managers across multiple states and time zones

Human Resources Generalist Preferred Background & Skills

  • Manufacturing, industrial, construction, logistics, distribution, or field service background strongly preferred
  • Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations

What the Ideal Candidate Looks Like

The ideal candidate will come from a fast-paced manufacturing, industrial, construction, logistics, or operational environment supporting a multi-state frontline workforce with hands-on payroll and HR administration responsibilities. This individual should be highly operational, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable serving as a key day-to-day HR resource within a lean and growing organization.
