A beloved, family-owned events and catering venue is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations across multiple event spaces. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for menu development, food quality, team management, inventory control, and financial performance while ensuring exceptional execution for weddings, corporate events, banquets, and private functions.

The ideal candidate is a strong culinary leader who combines creativity, operational expertise, and team development with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of progressive culinary experience with prior kitchen leadership responsibilities
  • Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Senior Culinary Leader
  • Extensive experience in Banquets, Catering, and Events operations
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification required
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory management, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Background & Skills

  • Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred
  • Proven success with menu development, seasonal programming, and recipe creation
  • Strong vendor management and purchasing experience
  • Ability to lead multiple kitchens and teams in a fast-paced environment

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead all culinary operations, including banquets, weddings, picnics, and special events
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus while maintaining quality and consistency standards
  • Manage kitchen staffing, scheduling, training, and performance
  • Oversee food costs, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and operational standards
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and overall business performance
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, execution, and guest satisfaction across all events
