General Manager in Training – Short-Term Rental Management Company

General Manager in Training Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous short-term rental property management experience is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends as required.
  • Demonstrated desire to develop leadership abilities and advance within the company.

General Manager in Training Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience managing or coordinating short-term or vacation rental properties and staff.
  • Familiarity with property management, reservation, or booking software.
  • Comfort with analyzing performance metrics and recommending improvements.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.

General Manager in Training Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily operations across a large portfolio of short-term rental properties.
  • Support guest service efforts, managing reservations, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Coordinate housekeeping, property inspections, and maintenance requests.
  • Communicate with property owners and support relationship management.
  • Monitor property performance, occupancy rates, and revenue data.
  • Participate in recruiting, training, and developing team members.
  • Lead special projects and take on increased responsibilities during training.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed, providing leadership support to all departments.
