Sales Support Manager– Somerset, NJ

A respected manufacturer of commercial food equipment is seeking an experienced Sales Support Manager to lead sales support and order-to-delivery processes for distributors, dealers, and key customer accounts. This is a hands-on leadership role, central to ensuring excellent customer experiences and smooth collaboration between sales, production, logistics, and service teams. Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years leading inside sales, customer support, order management, or sales support teams in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical product environment
  • Strong understanding of order processing, customer service, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience working with distributors, dealer networks, and key accounts
  • Hands-on experience with ERP or business systems
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities

Preferred Background & Skills

  • Background in industrial manufacturing, capital equipment, food or packaging equipment, HVAC, machinery, or aftermarket parts/service organizations
  • Experience supporting custom and complex orders with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort managing shifting priorities and navigating internal processes
  • Project coordination or customer success experience in a manufacturing setting

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for distributors, dealers, and key customer accounts, resolving inquiries and managing order status from quotation through shipment and invoicing
  • Lead, coach, and support a small sales support team while overseeing daily workflow and productivity
  • Coordinate closely with production, logistics, service, and planning teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales reporting; support outside sales reps and identify opportunities within existing accounts
  • Utilize ERP systems for order management, process improvement, and generating reports; ensure accurate records and documentation
  • Handle escalated customer issues and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships
