An established hospitality and gaming organization is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance to oversee all accounting functions across a premier hotel, casino, event center, and associated properties. Director of Finance Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of executive-level finance or accounting experience in the gaming industry
  • Ability to interpret and apply Federal, State, Tribal, and local financial regulations and laws
  • Deep knowledge of general ledger reconciliation, capital budgeting, and GAAP
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a gaming license

Director of Finance Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with payroll information management systems
  • Knowledge of IT operations, hardware, and accounting/reporting software relevant to casinos and hotels
  • Previous experience mentoring or developing team members, especially from diverse backgrounds

Director of Finance Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee all property accounting functions, supervising teams including Cage, Vault, Drop, Revenue Audit, and Purchasing
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports, regulatory filings, and comparative analyses
  • Safeguard gaming licenses and all financial assets through risk management
  • Guide cash management, investment, and liquidity strategies for all business units
  • Provide executive analysis and recommendations on financial performance and proposed expenditures
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations
  • Mentor staff and encourage ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate effectively with senior management, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional teams
