Assistant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant management experience required
  • High-volume restaurant experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate hourly teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience supporting food, labor, and operational cost controls
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt quickly
  • Proficient in basic computer and restaurant management systems
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Fast casual, casual dining, buffet, or family dining experience
  • Experience leading high-volume hourly teams
  • Community-oriented and hospitality-driven leadership style
  • Strong coaching and team development mindset
  • Operationally strong with attention to cleanliness, food quality, and guest experience
  • Experience with sales-driving initiatives and local store marketing
  • Positive, servant-leadership mentality
  • Stable career progression and strong tenure preferred
