A growing, family-owned construction contractor specializing in complex commercial and high-rise residential exterior projects throughout the NYC metro area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to gain hands-on exposure to all phases of project management while working directly alongside experienced leadership in a collaborative, non-corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Support change order tracking and project coordination
• Maintain workflows within Procore and related systems
• Review construction drawings and specifications
• Assist with estimating, takeoffs, and preconstruction activities
• Coordinate communication between field teams, vendors, and clients
• Participate in site visits, meetings, and project walkthroughs
• Help drive operational efficiency across active projects

Qualifications

• Experience working for a commercial GC or specialty subcontractor
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Experience

• Procore or similar project management software
• Roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope projects
• Estimating or preconstruction exposure
• Change order management platforms such as ClearStory
