Banquet & Event Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in banquet, event, or hospitality management preferred
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Proficient multitasking and communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event demand
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
Banquet & Event Sales Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Banquet sales experience is highly preferred
- Experience with event planning software, especially Tripleseat
- Wine knowledge and experience
Banquet & Event Sales Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Drive growth in banquet and private event sales
- Plan, coordinate, and execute private dining and events to the highest standards
- Conduct guest tours, consultations, and tastings
- Maintain clear, effective communication with guests, planners, vendors, and team members
- Lead, train, and coach banquet and front-of-house staff for exceptional guest experiences
- Create and manage schedules, oversee inventories, and ensure cost controls
- Support overall restaurant operations during slower banquet periods
- Promote and expand the venue’s event capabilities
