We are seeking a Junior Director of Programming and Communication Specialist for our Private Members Club. We are one of NYC's most coveted Private Clubs with high-net worth members. This candidate will have significant experience and be able to speak to various industries from F&B to Art and current Music trends to the Finance world. The role’s primary function is helping the Director with creating in-house “activations” for our current members. This candidate would have partnerships with our alcohol vendors to have liquor pairings coupled with special menus, comedy nights, book signings, speaking engagements, game days, artist sneak peeks, music events, etc.
- This person must be able to understand the nuances of our members and understand the Private Club environment. We offer excellent benefits, and a salary between 85K-95K depending on experience. This role is 5 days in office in NYC. Tremendous growth potential and an excellent working culture.
Programming and Communication Specialist – Key Responsibilities
- Help to curate and develop engaging programming events aligned with club member interests
- Review incoming programming details (email and verbal) and update BEO’s accurately and promptly
- Produce and distribute a monthly member newsletter highlighting upcoming programming events, club closures, and happenings.
- Coordinate with speakers to secure event details, updates, and RSVP tracking
- Manage event logistics including AV, F&B, guest check-in, and post-event dining tracking
- Respond to programming event inquiries, maintain records in TripleSeat, and create contracts and BEOs
- Reconcile and close out programming event checks in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding newly confirmed or last-minute events and updated details
- Coordinate with building management (BXP) for operational needs including HVAC, security, loading dock access, and private elevator scheduling
- Handle COI’s and Requests for Access (RFAs)
- Collaborate with internal teams for IT support, space bookings, coat check, linens, and office setup requirements
- Source and manage vendors for AV, floral arrangements, rentals, and furniture needs
- Brief and coordinate FOH, BOH and event staff on run-of-show and special instructions
- Curate monthly music programming for Coco’s, ensuring alignment with budget and brand experience
- Develop and maintain a monthly communication calendar
- Work with Yugin to coordinate Yugin monthly calendar to share with VIP, guests, Coco members
General Requirements and Experience:
- – 2+ years of experience in events or hospitality
- – Passion for the hospitality industry
- – Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- – Extremely detail oriented and able to self-manage and self-start
- – Excellent interpersonal skills with members, employees, and vendors
- – Great knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular, Excel and PowerPoint)
- – Experience with Canva, Tripleseat, Flodesk is preferred
- – Experience with SevenRooms is preferred, but not required.
- – Established network of programming contacts or ability to build and maintain relevant partnerships
