Distribution Operations Manager

Distribution Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics environments
- Proven ability to manage and develop large warehouse teams
- Strong understanding of labor planning, productivity metrics, and warehouse operations
- Experience working within food distribution, grocery, manufacturing, retail distribution, or similar high-volume sectors preferred
- Exposure to Oracle ERP or similar operational systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge preferred
Distribution Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives
- Prior use or implementation of ERP/WMS solutions in a warehouse environment
Distribution Operations Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment
- Directly manage and coach supervisors and hourly warehouse teams for maximum productivity and performance
- Monitor and achieve key operational KPIs and service levels
- Identify and execute process improvements to drive operational efficiency
- Partner with organizational leadership to optimize workflow and labor strategies
- Ensure safety, OSHA, and company standards are met throughout the facility
- Support enhancements and upgrades to operational technology and warehouse management systems
- Cultivate a positive, team-oriented work culture focused on accountability and growth
