Elevator Adjuster

A well established elevator company is seeking a skilled Elevator Adjuster with experience in construction and modernization. The Elevator Adjuster is responsible for testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and optimizing elevator systems to ensure compliance with safety codes and performance standards. This position requires strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Relocation assisitance available for the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and calibration of elevator systems to ensure code compliance
- Adjust braking systems, acceleration, deceleration, and door operations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Complete final installation, wiring, and system integration
- Ensure proper elevator leveling and ride quality
- Identify and resolve system malfunctions
- Collaborate with installation and modernization teams
- Maintain accurate documentation of adjustments and repairs
Qualifications
- CET (Certified Elevator Technician) certification – preferred
- NEIEP (National Elevator Industry Educational Program) certification
- Experience with major elevator OEM systems and controls
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an elevator mechanic (construction or modernization)
- Strong knowledge of elevator systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Work Environment
- Work in confined spaces, machine rooms, and elevator shafts
- Exposure to heights and construction environments
- Physically demanding role requiring climbing, lifting, and extended standing
- Full-time position with travel between jobsites
- Occasional overnight travel (with hotel accomodations and perdiem).
