Director of Food and Beverage Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in food and beverage
  • Proven ability to lead teams to meet and exceed goals
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations
  • Experience ensuring regulatory compliance and safe work environments
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Director of Food and Beverage Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Professional presence that builds trust and inspires confidence

  • Experience with event planning and marketing food and beverage services

Director of Food and Beverage Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, administration, and day-to-day operations of food and beverage services
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members, ensuring high service standards
  • Lead menu planning, cost management, and implementation of quality controls
  • Develop and manage department budgets, achieving financial objectives
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcoholic beverage regulations
  • Monitor guest experiences and drive continuous improvements in service and offerings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional managers to meet overall organizational goals
  • Directly address and resolve operational issues as they arise to support customer satisfaction
