Director of Food and Beverage Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of management experience in food and beverage
Proven ability to lead teams to meet and exceed goals
Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations
Experience ensuring regulatory compliance and safe work environments
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Director of Food and Beverage Preferred Background & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Professional presence that builds trust and inspires confidence
Positive energy and ability to multitask
Track record of motivating others toward excellence
Experience with event planning and marketing food and beverage services

Director of Food and Beverage Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Oversee planning, administration, and day-to-day operations of food and beverage services
Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members, ensuring high service standards
Lead menu planning, cost management, and implementation of quality controls
Develop and manage department budgets, achieving financial objectives
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcoholic beverage regulations
Monitor guest experiences and drive continuous improvements in service and offerings
Collaborate with cross-functional managers to meet overall organizational goals
Directly address and resolve operational issues as they arise to support customer satisfaction
