Kitchen Manager – Austin, TX

Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager, restaurant manager, or head chef in a high-volume full-service or fast casual environment
  • Prior pizza experience required, including dough work
  • Hands-on experience managing staff, menu planning, and ordering
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational and conflict management skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and a 50–55 hour work week

Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Previous scratch kitchen experience a plus
  • Experience with set recipes and standardized procedures
  • Great attitude, strong work ethic, patience, and willingness to learn

Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive atmosphere
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and timely service
  • Train and develop team members on recipes and food presentation
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and organization standards in all kitchen areas
  • Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs to achieve budget goals
  • Track weekly and monthly costs and participate in scheduling and shift management
