Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in kitchen leadership roles in full-service restaurants
  • Strong tenure with no more than 2 job changes in the last 5 years
  • Proven experience with ordering, inventory, scheduling, and department cost controls
  • Culinary degree appreciated but not required

Kitchen Manager Responsibilities and Traits:

  • Hands-on management style
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on the guest experience
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Able to build relationships quickly and build strong teams
