Sommelier Requirements & Qualifications

Certified Sommelier (CMS, WSET, Level 2 or higher) preferred
Strong knowledge of global wines, spirits, and fine dining service
Experience in luxury dining or award-winning restaurants preferred
Passion for wine education and training team members
Proven inventory management and cost control skills

Sommelier Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list featuring both classic and emerging producers
Provide expert wine recommendations to deliver memorable guest experiences
Lead ongoing wine training sessions to elevate staff expertise and service standards
Manage wine inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal offerings
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop thoughtful food and wine pairings
