Sommelier Requirements & Qualifications
- Certified Sommelier (CMS, WSET, Level 2 or higher) preferred
- Strong knowledge of global wines, spirits, and fine dining service
- Experience in luxury dining or award-winning restaurants preferred
- Passion for wine education and training team members
- Proven inventory management and cost control skills
Sommelier Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list featuring both classic and emerging producers
- Provide expert wine recommendations to deliver memorable guest experiences
- Lead ongoing wine training sessions to elevate staff expertise and service standards
- Manage wine inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal offerings
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop thoughtful food and wine pairings
