Lab Technician – Birmingham, AL

Lab Technician Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience (industrial or R&D preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
  • Comfortable following SOPs without deviation
  • Consistent and reliable performer with a safety-first mentality
  • Ability to do repetitive work while maintaining focus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Lab Technician Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing lab environments
  • Familiarity with water treatment chemistry or lubricants/petrochemical products
  • Instrument calibration and troubleshooting experience
  • Background in regulated environments (ISO, EPA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of organic or inorganic synthesis

Lab Technician Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate analytical, biological, and performance testing on various samples
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
  • Follow established SOPs and safety protocols at all times
  • Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports
  • Communicate findings clearly to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
