Lab Technician – Birmingham, AL

Lab Technician Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience (industrial or R&D preferred)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
Comfortable following SOPs without deviation
Consistent and reliable performer with a safety-first mentality
Ability to do repetitive work while maintaining focus
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Lab Technician Preferred Background & Skills

Experience in industrial or manufacturing lab environments
Familiarity with water treatment chemistry or lubricants/petrochemical products
Instrument calibration and troubleshooting experience
Background in regulated environments (ISO, EPA, etc.)
Knowledge of organic or inorganic synthesis

Lab Technician Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Conduct accurate analytical, biological, and performance testing on various samples
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
Follow established SOPs and safety protocols at all times
Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports
Communicate findings clearly to internal teams and stakeholders
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
