Continuous Improvement Engineer
Growing manufacturing organization seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence across production processes. This role focuses on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead scrap reduction, cycle time, and OEE improvement initiatives
• Drive Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Kanban)
• Perform root cause analysis (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
• Improve injection molding processes (plastic/rubber preferred)
• Optimize tooling performance and changeover times
• Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and process capability improvements
• Partner cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering
• Develop standard work, KPIs, and continuous improvement culture
• Support automation and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
• 2–5+ years in automotive or manufacturing environment
• Lean / Six Sigma experience (Green Belt preferred)
• Experience with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC
• Injection molding or plastics/rubber experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Salary up to $125K + Relocation Available
