Chef de Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of culinary management experience in high-volume kitchens.
- Proven experience managing staff and maintaining high standards throughout shifts.
- Strong passion for serving exceptional food.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to manage food, beverage, and labor costs while upholding required standards.
- Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
- Strong analytical skills, including budgetary and financial acumen.
Chef de Cuisine Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations and elements of the kitchen.
- Participate in hiring, supervising, scheduling, and training kitchen managers, chefs, and crew.
- Implement and maintain systems to ensure high food preparation and quality control standards, driving sales through exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage food costs, labor costs, and other operating expenses while effectively communicating with the team and supervisors.
- Lead by example in all product development initiatives.
- Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues, ensuring a highly organized and detail-oriented environment while managing multiple production areas
