HR Generalist – Austin, TX

HR Generalist Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be located in Austin or actively relocating to the area
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable learning and administering HRIS and talent management systems
- Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
HR Generalist Preferred Background & Skills
- Human Resources certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a must
- Experience working in a growth-focused, multisite organization
- Bilingual skills are a plus
HR Generalist Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for team members and managers, providing guidance on policies, performance management, and workplace concerns
- Support investigations and documentation around employee relations matters
- Administer and optimize HRIS, ensuring accurate employee data and system integrity
- Partner with HR leadership on solutions that align with company values and legal requirements
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, engagement, compliance, and compensation
- Support HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and performance management
- Ensure ongoing compliance with employment laws and best practices
