Multi-Unit General Manager (Path to Area Manager) – Houston, TX

Position Overview

This role is a multi-unit leadership position with a clear path to Area Manager, responsible for supporting operations across multiple restaurant locations while developing into full regional ownership. The position partners closely with the current Area Manager to drive operational excellence, develop General Managers, and ensure consistent execution of company standards across the market.

The role oversees $10M–$12M+ in annual sales and requires a leader who can balance people development, operational execution, and financial performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee operations across multiple restaurant locations within the Houston market
  • Coach, develop, and hold accountable General Managers and leadership teams
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards, food quality, and operational procedures
  • Drive performance in sales, labor, food cost, and overall profitability
  • Conduct regular store visits, audits, and performance evaluations
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of management teams
  • Maintain full compliance with company policies, systems, and health/safety standards
  • Lead communication and rollout of company initiatives, programs, and promotions
  • Build and maintain a strong leadership bench across all locations
  • Foster and uphold company culture across the region

  • Drive operational consistency through coaching, not micromanagement
  • Maintain strong communication across all levels of the organization

Scope of Role

  • Primary focus on Houston market (~90%)
  • Oversight of multiple locations generating $10M–$12M+ in revenue
  • Occasional travel to support other regions (TX and select national markets)
  • Estimated travel up to 50% depending on business needs

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience
  • Full-service or polished casual dining background
  • Proven ability to manage multiple locations and develop General Managers
  • Strong understanding of:
    • P&L management
    • Labor optimization
    • Inventory and cost control
  • Experience driving operational standards, training, and performance accountability
  • Strong communication, delegation, and time management skills
  • Experience with systems such as Toast, ADP, or similar platforms preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 (flexible for top candidates)
  • KPI-based bonus structure tied to operational and store performance
