You've run commercial interior projects from the subcontractor side. You know how to read shop drawings, sequence trades, and catch conflicts before they become problems on a finish-heavy job. That's exactly what this role is.
A specialized interior construction firm is hiring a PM to manage high-end commercial buildouts — corporate offices, executive suites, hospitality interiors. The work is complex, the standards are high, and they need someone who can own a project from preconstruction through closeout.
What you'll be doing
- Managing commercial interior projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinating multiple trades — drywall, ceilings, millwork, flooring, glass/hardware
- Driving sequencing and scheduling in tight, finish-heavy environments
- Managing RFIs, change orders, and material lead times
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings
- Walking spaces and identifying coordination conflicts before they hit the schedule
What you need to have
- Subcontractor or interior trades background — drywall, ceilings, millwork, flooring, or similar
- Direct experience with TI or commercial interior buildouts — no residential
- Shop drawing experience — plan-reading only is not sufficient
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously with strong sequencing skills
- Spatial awareness — you can walk a space and see problems before they happen
